May 11, 2014

Good Morning!

Today is the birthday of Irving Berlin (1888 – 1989) who said:
“Life is 10 percent what you make it
and 90 percent how you take it.”

It is also the birthday of Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) who said:
“Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.”

and
“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.”

and
“A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.”

Happy Birthday to Richard Feynman (1918 – 1988) who said:
“Nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesn't matter. Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough.”

and
“Study hard what interests you the most in the most undisciplined, irreverent and original manner possible.”

and
“You have no responsibility to live up to what other people think you ought to accomplish. I have no responsibility to be like they expect me to be. It's their mistake, not my failing.”

And finally to William Glasser (1925 – 2013) who said:
“When you study great teachers... you will learn much more from their caring and hard work than from their style.”

and
“What happened in the past that was painful has a great deal to do with what we are today.”

and

“The day we stop playing will be the day we stop learning.”
