Good Morning!
Today is the birthday of Paul Robeson (1898 – 1976) who said:
“The answer to injustice is not to silence the critic, but to
end the injustice.”
It is also the birthday of J. William Fulbright (1905 – 1995) who said:
“We must dare to think 'unthinkable' thoughts. We must learn
to explore all the options and possibilities that confront us in a complex and
rapidly changing world.”
and
“The rapprochement of peoples is only possible when
differences of culture and outlook are respected and appreciated rather than
feared and condemned, when the common bond of human dignity is recognized as
the essential bond for a peaceful world.”
Happy Birthday to Margaret Peterson Haddix (1964 - ) who said:
“Maybe everyone is just waiting for someone else to save
them.”
and
“...even the most independent people sometimes needed help.
And if I'd learned nothing else from my life thus far, it was that you don't
always end up where you think you're going.”
