Good Morning! Here are your daily birthday quotations...

Rudolf Steiner (1861 – 1925):
“Love starts when we push aside our ego and make room for someone else.”

and
“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility—these three forces are the very nerve of education.”

and
“You will not be good teachers if you focus only on what you do and not upon who you are.”

John Foster Dulles (1888 – 1959):
“The measure of success is not whether you have a tough problem to deal with, but whether it is the same problem you had last year.”

and
“A man's accomplishments in life are the cumulative effect of his attention to detail.”

Anthony Burgess (1917 – 1993):
“We can destroy what we have written, but we cannot unwrite it.”

and
“Language exists less to record the actual than to liberate the imagination.”

Larry Gelbart (1928 – 2009):
“Most jokes state a bitter truth.”

George Harrison (1943 - 2001):
“It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one.”

and
“With every mistake, we must surely be learning.”

John Doe (1954 - ):
“See how we are
Gotta keep bars on all of our windows
See how we are
We only sing about it once in every twenty years”

Rashida Jones (1976 - ):
“Smiling is definitely one of the best beauty remedies. If you have a good sense of humor and a good approach to life, that's beautiful.”

and

“I know that in life there will be sickness, devastation, disappointments, heartache - it's a given. What's not a given is the way you choose to get through it all. If you look hard enough, you can always find the bright side.”

Good Morning! Here are your daily birthday quotations...

August Derleth (1909 – 1971):
“Children accept many things adults will not accept, since the world of a child is a constant revelation without any need for knowledge of cause and effect.”

Steve Jobs (1955 – 2011):
“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

and
“Things don’t have to change the world to be important.”

and
“If you don’t love something, you’re not going to go the extra mile, work the extra weekend, challenge the status quo as much.”

and
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

and
"Here’s to the crazy ones — the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Mitch Hedberg (1968 – 2005):
“I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.”

and
“I want to hang a map of the world in my house, and then I’m gonna put pins into all the locations that I’ve traveled to. But first I’m gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map, so it won’t fall down.”

and

“I saw this wino, he was eating grapes. I was like, "Dude, you have to wait."

Good Morning! Here are your daily birthday quotations...

Samuel Pepys (1633 – 1703):
“Now public business takes up so much of my time that I must get time a Sundays or a nights to look after my own matters.”

and
“The truth is, I do indulge myself a little the more in pleasure, knowing that this is the proper age of my life to do it; and, out of my observation that most men that do thrive in the world do forget to take pleasure during the time that they are getting their estate, but reserve that till they have got one, and then it is too late for them to enjoy it.”

W.E.B. Du Bois (1868-1963):
“Children learn more from what you are than what you teach.”

and
“The most important thing to remember is this: To be ready at any moment to give up what you are for what you might become.”

Karl Jaspers (1883 – 1969):
“To decide to become a philosopher seemed as foolish to me as to decide to become a poet.”

and
“The Socratic teacher turns his students away from himself and back onto themselves; he hides in paradoxes, makes himself inaccessible. The intimate relationship between student and teacher here is not one of submission, but of a contest for truth.”

Bernard Cornwell (1944 - ):
“I do understand that you can look into someone’s eyes and suddenly know that life will be impossible without them. Know that their voice can make your heart miss a beat and that their company is all your happiness can ever desire and that their absence will leave your soul alone, bereft and lost.”

Tom Bodett (1955 - ):
“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”

and
“The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.”

Aziz Ansari (1983 - ):

“The four sweetest words in the English language - You wore me down'.”
